Geologic Reconnaissance
Researching existing information
is the first formal step in understanding and developing solutions for groundwater supply issues. Be it
identifying a location for a new well, solving water quality and/or capacity problems or wellhead protection
planning, Layne compiles and evaluates internal records, public documents and conducts personal interviews to
help communities and private water producers to solve their water supply problems. Commonly, Layne has internal
records from historic exploration and other activities from the area that, when combined with other available
sources of information, help our experienced staff to develop practical solutions for our clients.
